The Next Day
People ask me how long the flights were and I believe the first one was sixteen hours and the second one was close to nine. It felt like a week.
I left my house at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday Morning and didn’t arrive at my apartment till Tuesday at 5:00 a.m. I only had three hour layovers on each flight and by the time I got through security, I was able to make it just in time to board the plane.
I spent the first night alone and exhausted. I finally woke up at noon with a serious headache. Jet-lag is a real thing that affects me greatly. We ended up going grocery shopping the same day for a few things, because I didn’t have anything.
I was thankful to stop at a McDonalds for dinner that night thinking it would be great! Not having Thai food in a while though, they put some kind of seasoning in the burger that made me throw it up! That’s never fun.
Now let the teaching begin! The next day on Wednesday, Jennie and I were teaching at RBAC (University). I’m so out of it with a huge headache, no idea what we are teaching on since she prepared the lesson, I told her I would watch and help out the first day. We got there and I ended up teaching. Haha I thought I was going to collapse. It was go, go, go since the moment I got there.
Saturday morning came and I felt so sick I decided I needed to sleep in some before I went to work and that’s exactly what I did.
Thank the Lord I am now adjusted to the time zone! 😀
Gosh, do you think Grandpa and I could make that long flight? That would drive me nuts having to stay seated for long hours. I can barely sit through a movie. Hee, hee!
