ดอกกุหลาบ – Rose
These are the roses Jennie and P’Pan gave me as they picked me up from the airport. I love dried flowers and have already dried other flowers they have given me.
Here in Thailand everyone most likely has four to five names. Sometimes three but they are all so long. To fix this problem everyone here gets a nickname.
So my friend ChaCha (her name is P’Nang) gave me a Thai name and it’s Rose! So this is how you pronounce it – kuh̄lāb (your guess is as good as mine) and this is it in Thai – ดอกกุหลาบ.
I will have to try to get used to listening for it. That’s all I do around here is just listen for my name. Haha They can’t pronounce the letter “r” so when they say my name it’s more like “mō-gaaan”. So they started calling me “Mork” cause it’s easier (sounding more like “Môk”).
I love this! It suits you just as well as the name Morgan! You look so happy!
